Being in Sydney, you are doing not doing justice if you don't visit to its beautiful beaches. Sydney being a costal city, it has nearly 100's of beaches. Yet only a few beaches are popular ones.
Watson's Bay & Hornsby Lighthouse

This week we decided to go to some remote beaches in Sydney. A Google search landed up Watson's Bay. This is so close to the city.

Just 10 km away from the city, with easy access by public transports. From my home Epping, it is around 30kms.

I'm not sure if we traveled on a bad day or we were unlucky. The roads were filled with traffic that it literally took 2hrs to reach the spot than the estimated 1hr time.  Karthik was so exhausted being on brake all the time 😓. I was expecting him to scold me for choosing this place. Luckily he did not 😜😜😜

There was an unusually heavy traffic that day. Luckily we got a pre-reserved parking without waiting for even a minute.

Then we got down and started walking towards the bay without any clue where the beach is. After a km walk, we reached the beach, gazing through the beach houses. Wow such a beautiful scene...

It was a cloudy summer day. It was hot but not sunny. Which is a perfect weather for beach and to land up getting beautiful pictures of clouds on all our pics.

Long walk made us get an ice cream from the ice cream shop on the sands of the beach. We then climbed up the short stairs, to view beach from a little height. There was also a path to power house  / Motor room ( i guess 😜 )of the beach.

Then there was a sign board stating, Hornsby lighthouse 700m. So we decided to follow the signboard. After about 700m there was another signboard stating "Hornsby lighthouse 700m". OMG again a 700m walk.

Towards my left there was a downward staircase going to a kind of private beach "Lady Beach". We went down half way, but returned back running. It was a male nude beach. Next time when ever you go somewhere read the signboards fully, not just the name... I said to myself

Then we began to talk again. We sighted a lightman keeper's house in the way. Finally we did reach the lighthouse. The walk was so much worth for the cool breeze you will get on a peak summer. So much breezy that it might even make your kid fall asleep easily.   We spent some time there taking pictures, chatting, looking at visitors.

Then we walked past the lighthouse but there was nothing much. So we began to walk down. It was overall such a wonderful experience. If you are in Sydney and you have time over the weekends, don't miss this place, you will relish for lifetime.
